रायपुर। संसदीय सचिव एवं विधायक विकास उपाध्याय द्वारा आज शहीद प्लाटून कमांडर गीता राम राठिया जो मीनपा, जिला सुकमा में नक्सली द्वारा लगाए बम को डिफ्यूज़ करते समय शहीद हुए,
जिस पर विकास उपाध्याय ने शहीद कमांडर की पत्नी से दूरभाष पर चर्चा कर इस दुःख के घड़ी में ढांढस बधाते हुए एक भाई की तरह विश्वास दिलाया कि वो शहीद परिवार के सुख-दुःख में साथ खड़े हैं और किसी भी प्रकार की जरूरत होने पर मुझे व्यक्तिगत रूप से अवगत् कराने की बात कही।
शहीद पत्नि की मांग है कि उनके गृहग्राम सिंघनपुर, जिला रायगढ़ में शहीद कमांडर गीता राम राठिया की प्रतिमा स्थापित किए जाने की बात कही। जिस तथ्य पर विकास उपाध्याय ने कहा, मुख्यमंत्री एवं गृहमंत्री से चर्चा कर जल्द से जल्द इस कार्य को पूरा किया जाएगा।
