कोलकाता आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले पश्चिम बंगाल में राजनीतिक सरगर्मियां तेज हैं। राज्य की मुख्यमंत्री ममता बनर्जी ने शनिवार को कहा है कि देश की राजधानी सिर्फ दिल्ली ही क्यों है। चार कोने में कुल चार राजधानी होनी चाहिए। बनर्जी ने अपने सांसदों को यह मुद्दा संसद में उठाने का भी निर्देश दिया। वहीं, उन्होंने कहा कि दिल्ली में ज्यादातर लोग बाहर के रहने वाले हैं।
कोलकाता में नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस की 125वीं जयंती पर आयोजित एक रैली को संबोधित करते हुए ममता बनर्जी ने कहा, एक समय कोलकाता देश की राजधानी थी। तो आखिर में एक बार फिर से शहर को भारत की दूसरी राजधानी के रूप में घोषित नहीं किया जाता है? कोलकाता को देश की दूसरी राजधानी बनानी ही होगी।
